Local and international big wave surfers enjoyed huge swells created by a severe cold front moving through the country at present. Back to back cold fronts sweeping into the country at the moment have created huge waves for surfing. The waves are too big to paddle into so the surfers use waverunners to tow them into the fast moving swells.
